The Budidjaja Institute’s Vision and Mission

The Budidjaja Institute is an Indonesian centre for legal practice training and apprenticeship.

The Budidjaja Institute was initiated in 2010 by Mr. Tony Budidjaja, Founder and Managing Partner of Budidjaja International Lawyers (previously Budidjaja & Associates Law Firm), for the purpose of crafting Indonesia’s future lawyers for tomorrow’s world. Since its inception, more than 500 law graduates have participated in its legal training and apprenticeship program.

Mr. Budidjaja stated in an interview that he created the Budidjaja Institute in response to his observation, "There’s got to be a better way for preparing fresh law graduates for professional legal careers than we currently have”. The Budidjaja Institute is exclusively devoted to delivering quality training programs and providing strong support to fresh law graduates and young lawyers in their pursuit of careers in law firms or other relevant institutions.

In light of its purposes, the Budidjaja Institute always desires to collaborate with other like-minded institutions and organizations, in particular, law schools, law firms and bar associations. The Budidjaja Institute has established strong relationships and has entered into cooperation with a number of law firms, government institutions and non-governmental organizations, in Indonesia and overseas (Asia in particular), for the purpose of its apprenticeship and exchange of lawyers program, as well as its alumni’s future legal careers.
